excellent I just want to give a five star to the Cosmopolitan Mechanical Services, for the wonderful brand new furnace that was installed last summer, and for their excellent 24 hour after service. It so happened that this month, our furnace stopped working. We couldn't figure out why, so we called them at 2am expecting to leave a voice mail. It was a nice surprise then to be able to talk to a tech on the phone right away, who helped us figuring out the problem in 30 minutes (filter needs change). Then, the thermometer was running low in battery (we didn't know), which caused the furnace to stop heating up. Again, the technician came to help as soon as they can the next day, and fixed the problem with no charge even though changing the battery should be our job. They respond quickly to help; they are efficient and patient, and they pay careful attentions to the jobs they do. I would highly recommend their service to others.

Furnace Installation I called 3 companies for quotes. Cosmopolitan came in fairly priced, and were very patient in explaining my options. The work they did was very neat and clean. They were able to do the job quickly, to accommodate my tight schedule with a tenant moving in. They moved my hot water tank as part of the job, which was also squeaky clean. Install New Furnace Our furnace died and needed to be replaced just as the cold weather arrived. Out of four companies we called, Cosmopolitan got back to us immediately. Arshaad explained why our furnace needed replacement and he and his crew showed up on time and did all that they promised and within budget. The installation is neat, clean, and the furnace works great.

We are very happy with their work. Arshaad was very patient and gladly explained why our old furnace had failed and why the new one (American Standard) was the best choice. He was quite honest and forthright, explaining that if we went with a cheaper product, we would be getting a boiler that would be more likely to fail and would have a shorter service life. This is exactly the problem that the previous owner of our house created because they chose to install a cheap boiler.

I would highly recommend this company for any job. Once the money tree re-grows a bit, I will have them back in to install a tankless waterheater.

New Air Conditioner and Furnace When our central air fizzled in July we found Cosmopolitan through Home Stars. We were impressed by the ratings and after meeting him we had a new Air Conditioning unit installed. We had some problems and Arshad came out twice to fix it, in both cases we called in the evening and he was there promptly the next day-- this was much appreciated as each time it was during a heat wave. We had such a good experience that when our furnace failed we didn't hesitate to call Cosmopolitan. Arshad and Arrow went to work and within hours our house was toasty again.

Arshad is very conscientious and we appreciated his attention to detail,he covered our hardwood floors so they would not get damaged, he took away our old furnace and a/c and all the packaging associated with the new units. He also took care of the rebate paperwork and last but certainly not least he was always on time. I would not hesitate to recommend this company.

Rinnai water heater Our electric water heater died the week we moved into our new home. Cosmopolitan Mechanical Services was referred to us by the Rinnai manufacturer and I called them on Friday afternoon. Even though they were busy hearing about our problem Arshaad made time to come on Saturday evening. On monday morning he came on time and installed the Rinnai water heater. It is a great invention it is tankless water heater and produces hot water on demand. Arshaad provided excellent service and did a superb installation job.

Air Conditioner Repair After a really bad experience with a previous HVAC repair company, we contacted Cosmopolitan. Even though it was the middle of summer, and they were extremely busy, they came on time. (Previous companies cancelled 2 or 3 times at the last minute). He did a very thorough analysis and diagnosis. The problem was found and explained (a defective sensor). Our A/C has been working since then with no problems.

New Air Conditioner and Humidifier I wanted to give them a 9.5 rating but can't quite figure out how to give the extra .5!!! I would have given this company a 10 but after they left and I had a real good look at the work and noticed that they either ran out of silver 'duct' tape or didn't quite finish sealing everything. Fortunately I had some on hand and finished a very small section that needed attention.
A very minor detail but sealing areas that were cut out of a furnace to make room for new equipment is important.
Overall great company and would recommend them.

Two new high efficiency furnaces and tankless water heater I found Cosmopolitan through the Homestars website and admittedly was skeptical about their perfect score. However, after getting a quote that was competitively priced on replacing two furnaces with new high efficiency units and replacing two hot water tanks with a tankless unit, I figured that the reviews couldn't too far off the mark. I have to say that i'm now a believer - their service was exceptional and professional, and everything was installed without hassle. They were quick and reliable and cleaned up after themselves. They also helped with securing all the rebates that I was eligible for by preparing a bunch of the paperwork for me. I would highly recommend them to my friends and family.

On the day when winter storm hits GTA, with the wind chill factor more than -30oc, after 7 years for the first time our centrally heating unit was start making ugly noises and it was so loud that can be hear on the third floor also it was blowing the cool air. Furnace Repair We had some furnace problems in the fall where we needed the igniter replaced and the motherboard had been acting up and sometimes the blower would not turn on. We called Cosmopolitan Mechanical Services and they sent out Khalil to our house. He was very nice and quick with his repair. The furnace was older and the motherboard required a complete rewiring to be compatible with the furnace and Khalil did a great job (being an electrical engineer I'm quite picky about wiring jobs). I would definitely recommend them to anyone with HVAC issues.

New Humidifier We had a problem with our A/C and Arshad came in promptly to fix it. We were also advised that our A/C being very old (builder installed) it was time to change it.
We also requested that a humidifier be installed, which was done very professionally. Besides, Arshad even got our furnace filter moved out of the furnace compartment outside.

We have retained him to install a new A/c for the next season.

Furnace and Air Conditioning Installation We recently purchased our first home that was over 15 years old and had its original air conditioner and furnace. Therefore after our air conditioner broke down in the summer we weren't surprised when the furnace went down as well in the winter.
